There is less than a month and a half left until the start of the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which this year will take place in the city of Malmö, Sweden. In this sense, every day, Rádio Alto Minho will remember all the winners since 1956, the date of the creation of this event.
Bucks Fizza British pop group, achieved success in the 1980s, after winning the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Making Your Mind Up“.
The song has lyrics considered by many critics to be very poor and meaningless, often repeating the chorus “Making your mind up”, in the sense of the lover wanting or not to maintain a loving relationship.
The choreography, on the contrary, is rich, with a lot of movement (dance), color and following the Abba model: four elements (two male, two female).
The British composition was 14th in the final of the competition, being the big winner of the 1981 Festival with a total of 136 points. It was also number 1 in several European countries (Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark and, of course, the United Kingdom and Ireland).
