PJ arrested two men for four homicides in the Lisbon area, one of which was completed. They were ordered by trafficking networks

The Judiciary Police admits that there are drug trafficking networks paying for homicides in Greater Lisbon, as a result of poorly resolved deals, the ‘banhadas’. This Tuesday, the arrests of two men, aged 26 and 29, were announced, who between October 2023 and last month committed a completed murder and attempted three others, with a G3 machine gun. However, do you know CMthe investigation into the death of Vítor Pereira, ‘Tamborro’, executed with Kalashnikov shots on February 10 in Bairro dos Navegadores, in Oeiras, also points to a murder contracted by a drug trafficking network.

As for the two detainees announced this Tuesday, the oldest was caught in Amadora and the other in Southern Spain, with the support of the National Police, both on Sunday. “The oldest is in jail and the youngest will be extradited”, he explains to the CM João Oliveira, director of PJ Lisbon.

The first crime occurred on October 15: when a man was shot in the chest in Lisbon. The last one was on January 11th in Azinhaga dos Barronhos, Oeiras: “A man was shot in a car, and two others were almost injured”, describes João Oliveira. “The only completed death occurred on October 28, 2023, in Casal da Mira, Amadora. Nine days after failing, the detainees fired pistol and G3 machine gun shots at a 49-year-old man, killing him,” he says.

PANIC IN SERAFINA
“On October 15, 2023, in the Serafina neighborhood, in Lisbon, these two men shot another in the chest, and shouted at passers-by to run away if they didn’t want to be shot. It was panic”, reports João Oliveira.

PARALLEL TO OEIRAS
Although none of those now detained had anything to do with the murder of Vítor Pereira, in Oeiras, the PJ equates them. In both situations, the perpetrators were paid by drug trafficking networks to execute men for various debts.
