39 cartoons will be on display from March 30th to April 14th

Forum Algarve will receive the cartoons developed within the scope of Fartoon – Faro International Cartoon Show.

Organized in partnership with Faro 1540 – Association for the Defense and Promotion of Faro’s Environmental and Cultural Heritage, the exhibition takes place between March 30th and April 14th, on Floor 1 of Forum Algarve.

Under the theme “Water, a challenge for Humanity”, the 5th edition of the initiative aims to promote awareness about the vital importance of this resource and highlight the need to ensure the sustainability of the hydrological cycle.

“Water saving is a concern for Forum Algarve. It is, therefore, with great enthusiasm that we welcome this exhibition”, says Sérgio Santos, Director of Forum Algarve. “The 39 cartoons we received invite us to travel through the irreverent and satirical imagination of the artists, and is also an excellent opportunity for individual and collective reflection on such an important topic”, he adds.

With sustainability being one of its main priorities, Forum Algarve has been implementing several measures to help save water.

In the last decade, it managed to reduce water consumption by around 3.4 million liters, the equivalent of 25,000 immersion baths, saving in this period the same amount of water that around 18,000 inhabitants of the city of Faro consume per day.
