STAL promotes denunciation and protest action in defense of the rights of Local Government workers

The National Union of Local Administration Workers will hold – next Monday (1st), at 11:00 am, at the ANMP headquarters – a meeting of leaders and union delegates to demand compliance with the Penosity and Unhealthiness Supplement and the application of the evaluation of Local Government workers.

In many local authorities, all over the country, there is a failure to pay the Penosity and Unhealthiness Supplement (SPI) and to apply the evaluation of Local Government workers, which causes serious harm to the development of their careers and remunerations.

STAL has denounced such situations on several occasions, but the continuation of these situations justifies this intensification of the struggle, in order to counter the tendency to limit workers’ rights.

In this sense, STAL promotes a public action of denunciation and protest on the morning of next Monday (1 April), next to the headquarters of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP), in Coimbra, which will be attended by directors, delegates and union activists from across the country.
