Ben Stimson and Aiden Minnis are the first known Brits to fight for Putin on Ukrainian soil and are being heavily criticized by the former British army commander, according to reports. TheMirror. The two soldiers are in the Donbass region with Vladimir Putin’s forces and have published several images and messages on social media, with the Russian flag on their chests.

Ben Stimson, 48, was arrested when he helped pro-Russian militias in Donbass, Ukraine, in 2015. He recently shared that he was back in Russia and in uniform, making his choice clear. The unemployed mercenary has an active presence on the internet and showed several soldiers on the front line walking past two dead bodies on Tuesday night. Fighting for Russia, Ben was disinherited by his father.

Aiden Minnis, 37, a former member of the National Front, has a long history linked to drugs and crime and claims that Putin is “the greatest politician in the world”. In 2006, Minnis was involved in the death of a couple and in 2008 he was arrested for a racist attack.
