Barcelos will celebrate 50 years of the 25th of April with music from local bands on the street. “Que Força é Essa” brings together six Barcelona projects, which will occupy two squares in the city’s historic center, on April 24th.

Black Bombaim, Indignu, Solar Corona, Cálculo, Tresor&Bosxh + Belladona&Lombwa, Glass Eyed Momma and Raio de Sol (dj set) are the projects that take the stage in the first edition of “Que Força é Essa”.

The concerts take place at Largo Dr. Martins Lima and Largo Dr. José Novais, between 5:30 pm and 2:00 am.

Entry is free.

“The objective is for this day to be a milestone of freedom and exaltation of the great musical potential that the city has demonstrated in recent decades, which has affirmed bands and musicians in the national musical panorama. These concerts were entirely designed and programmed in close dialogue with some of the artists who represent this movement”, says the organization in a statement sent to O MINHO.

The “Que Força é Essa” event is part of the program for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April promoted by the Municipality of Barcelos.

Throughout the year, the municipality will promote, in partnership with several local entities, several events that aim to mark this important milestone in the recent history of Portugal.
