Taxpayers who need help submitting their IRS declaration can turn to parish councils and Citizen Spaces, as well as Finance services, with hundreds of these support locations across the country.
The delivery of the annual IRS declaration began today and, despite this being a declaratory obligation that has only been fulfilled electronically for several years, there are several places across the country that support taxpayers who have difficulty using or even without access to computer and Internet.
In addition to the Finance Services existing in the country’s various municipalities – where in addition to support with delivery it is also possible to clarify doubts – there are around a hundred Citizen Spaces that provide this type of help, particularly in municipalities in the districts of Aveiro, Braga, Castelo Branco, Faro, Guarda, Lisbon, Portalegre, Santarém, Vila Real and Viseu.
In the autonomous regions, several Citizen Spaces in Angra do Heroísmo, Horta and Ponta Delgada are also available.
This list also includes delivery support points in almost 900 parish councils across the country.
In the usual statement that marks the beginning of the annual IRS campaign, the Ministry of Finance indicates that taxpayers who need support or clarify doubts can use the various means of service provided by the Tax and Customs Authority (AT), namely the e-balcão or the Telephone Call Center (217 206 707).
Face-to-face assistance in financial services must be preceded by prior appointment.
In the 2023 campaign (for income obtained in 2022), a further six million declarations were settled, 32% of which were submitted through the Automatic IRS.
The delivery of the IRS declaration ends on June 30th.
