GAT-MOVE-SE carries out screenings across the municipality!

Promoting sexual health is extremely important. Get screened for sexually transmitted diseases.

GAT MOVE-SE, which currently integrates two mobile health units (UMI and UMII), promotes and implements an anonymous, confidential and free service for rapid HIV screening in vulnerable populations, and screening for HBV, HCV and syphilis in subpopulations with criteria, aimed at migrants, people who use drugs, men who have sex with men and sex workers in the Setúbal Peninsula, as well as the homeless population.

In this project, personalized advice is also provided, either by technicians or by peers with validated training, promoting access to prevention and sexual health in a more effective and integrated way in the realities of different communities.

In parallel with the screening service, strategies are also developed to distribute sexual prevention material (condoms and lubricating gel), information and health literacy, as well as material for the consumption of substances by injecting, smoking and inhaling in partnership with the PTS. Referral of people with reactive results is guaranteed to hospital services of the corresponding specialty, and follow-up at the first consultation is offered to all people with reactive results for one of the tests carried out, in addition to promoting access to the National Health System and other support structures, and referral to addiction treatment structures.

Mobile screening units operate in priority geographic spaces on the Setúbal Peninsula and operate in accordance with strategies defined by epidemiological and public health priorities and in accordance with guidelines and good practices defined by WHO, ECDC, EMCDDA for the populations covered.
