The Madeira Agricultural School, located in São Vicente, celebrates tomorrow, April 3rd, its seventh anniversary in a ceremony taking place at 9:30 am with the opening and tributes.

At 10 am, interventions are planned on the levadas of Madeira, the Laurissilva Forest and Madeira Embroidery.

“The Regional Government of Madeira created the Madeira Agricultural School with the aim of enhancing the regional agricultural and agri-food sectors, enabling them to promote their sustainability and respond to future challenges, providing, among others, vocational courses in agricultural activities, courses technical professionals and technological specialization courses.

The Madeira Agricultural School’s mission is to promote the pursuit of the objectives of increasing regional competitiveness, acting in the production, transformation and commercialization structures and, on the other hand, the protection and improvement of agriculture, food security and, consequently, the conditions of living conditions for rural populations in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, with positive effects on the regional economy. Today, integrated into the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Environment, the training also covers the areas of the Environment”, states the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Environment in a note addressed to the newsrooms.
