Vicente Capela, born in Beja, stands out in the karting championship in Italy, approaching the top in the Champions of the Future Academy. Participating in the Mini 60cc category, an initiative by RGMMC in collaboration with the Formula 1 Academy, Vicente Capela competed with drivers from all over the world on the Cremona track, where he reached 7th position among 36 competitors, fighting for the top-5 .
In this competition of technical equality, where all karts are equipped identically with TM engines, Parolin chassis and Vega tires, the young man from Beja, just 10 years old, showed a remarkable evolution since the beginning. After starting in 21st place in training, he significantly improved his position in the qualifying heats and, despite a setback in the first heat of the second day due to a carburetor problem, he managed an impressive recovery in the final, starting from 19th to finish 7th.
Capela expressed his satisfaction not only with the classification, but with the ability to adapt and progress throughout the event, highlighting the high competitive level of the race and his expectation of better results in the next stages. The support of her family and fans was crucial to her performance.
Champions of the Future Academy will continue with more doubleheaders, including an event in Valencia, Spain, and a return to Italy, before concluding the circuit in the United Arab Emirates. Vicente Capela, representing the colors of Beja, promises to be a competitor to watch in future races of this exciting karting competition.
