Beja Hospital employee suffers threats and attempted assault

The District Command of the PSP of Beja, within the scope of its powers to prevent and permanently combat the practice of criminal and administrative offenses, recorded, in the period between March 27th and April 2nd, 2024, several occurrences.

Within the scope of Crimes of Threats and Offenses to Physical Integrity, the PSP registered 2 (two) crimes against physical integrity, one of them for threats and attempted assault on an employee at Beja Hospital. The second incident concerns a case of aggression that occurred on public roads.

With regard to crimes against Property/Patrimony, 1 (one) crime of theft of a vehicle (motor vehicle) worth 800 euros was recorded; 3 (three) crimes of theft from inside vehicles totaling 350 euros and also 5 (five) crimes against property, including the theft of vehicle batteries from inside commercial establishments worth 499.43 euros; damage carried out by strangers to the glass door of a private residence;
damage to a motor vehicle and attempted theft of objects from inside it and bank transactions worth 78.88 euros without the authorization of the injured party, as well as the illegitimate appropriation of 60.00 euros left in a MB cash box.

Within the scope of Visibility Policing, a 40-year-old citizen involved in a road accident was also intercepted, who fled after it, and was subjected to an alcohol test, with a BAC of 2.64 g/l and was also an attempt was detected to be used by unknown parties, to pay for purchases in a hypermarket, of 4 (four) counterfeit 10.00 euro notes.
