Australian artist Vance Joy will make his debut in Portugal at the Douro & Porto Wine Festival, which takes place in July in Lamego. The singer and songwriter, known for the song “Riptide” – a song that keeps him among the 250 most listened to on Spotify worldwide – will perform on July 6th, at Porto Comercial de Cambres.
The concert takes place before Vance Joy performs at the Hollywood Bowl, in Los Angeles (United States), and at the Ovo Arena Wembley, in London (United Kingdom).
The artist was born in Australia and traded a career in football for music. With three original albums already released, Vance Joy promises to bring “the overwhelming joy that genuine pop evokes”, highlights the organization of the Douro & Porto Wine Festival.
“It will be another unmissable concert, which the public will be able to enjoy with a beautiful glass of wine”, add the promoters.
Vance Joy joins the other names confirmed for the Douro & Porto Wine Festival such as Joss Stone, Corinne Bailey Rae, Judi Jackson, Resistência and Rui Veloso. The event takes place on the 5th and 6th of July in Lamego.
Tickets for the Douro & Porto Wine Festival are now on sale. Last year, the event that promotes wines from the oldest demarcated region in the world received more than 17 thousand people.
However, the first 15 producers confirmed for this year’s edition have already been revealed. They are Quinta da Pacheca, Quinta do Carvalhido, Quinta da Serôdia, Saramagayo, 100 Hectares, Esmero, Carm, Alma Soalheira, Quinta da Vacaria, Castas e Cascos, Monte São Sebastião, D’Origem, Caves Santa Marta, Quinta da Bela and Oboé Vinhos.
