These bungalows 45 minutes from Oeiras could be the destination of your next getaway

After the Easter long weekend (or holidays), all we can think about are summer holidays and all the weekends that we can enjoy for sightseeing, traveling, or simply relaxing in a different environment than usual. Fortunately, there are several holidays in April (25th), May (1st and 30th) and June (7th and 10th), which allow you to bridge the gap and have longer weekends than normal, ideal for breaking out of your routine. If you’re already thinking about your next getaway, preferably one that doesn’t take up too much time traveling, we’ve found a place that will please fans of nature — and wine.

Moments in Nature is a project that was born in 2022, with the proposal to offer stays in bungalows in the middle of the Palmela vineyards. It may seem strange at first glance, but for those who prioritize tranquility, calm environments, away from the hustle and bustle of large centers, it is an option worth knowing. And, best of all, it is just 45 minutes away from Oeiras.

Those responsible, Manuela and Marcolino Butes, are from Torrão, in Alentejo, but have lived in Palmela for more than two decades. They wanted to dedicate themselves to the tourism sector for a long time, and ended up investing in this mini village of five bungalows, in the region they call home. Momentos in Nature has been welcoming guests since April 2022.

Each bungalow is named after one of the fruits on the family farm. You can stay in the Grape, Plum, Apple, Fig and Apricot room. Contrary to what many may think, the interior of the bungalows was designed to provide total comfort to customers. In addition to the double bed, they have their own bathroom, television, wifi and air conditioning. There is a seating and dining area in all units. If you want to bring your children, two of them have sofa beds.

They all have a terrace, where you can place chairs and a table, serving as a small terrace, to enjoy the sun and good weather, whether for breakfast or, for example, a glass of wine at the end of the day. In that area, there is no way to miss the golden colors of the sunset illuminating the fields of vineyards as far as the eye can see.

The price for one night is around €130, with breakfast included. The first meal of the day is served in a picnic basket and, if you want a snack, Moments Lounge Tapas is nearby.
