USA has more than 800 mega rich people, Brazil has more than France and the United Kingdom

In the list of countries with the most billionaires, the United States stands out, with 813 figures on the Forbes list, followed by China, with 406 in its own territory, to which are added 67 from Hong Kong and one from Macau.

In third place is India, with 200 billionaires with more than a billion euros in wealth.

The European country with the most mega-rich is Germany, with 132, followed by Russia, with 120. The number of billionaires in Moscow is now above what it was before the Russian invasion of Ukraine: in 2021 it was 117, but it has dropped to 83 in the year the war began, rising slightly to 105 last year and reestablishing itself at 120 this year.

In the top-10, Brazil also stands out, with 69 billionaires, more than countries like the United Kingdom (55) or France (53).

In total, there are 79 countries with multimillionaire figures. The most represented continent is North and South America together, with 993 on the list, followed by Asia with 992, and Europe with 717. Oceania has just 52, the majority of Australia, while Africa has 27 mega-rich people represented.

The territory with the highest proportion of billionaires in relation to its population is the city-state of Monaco, with three mega-rich people among 39 thousand people: that is, one in every 13 thousand people has a fortune of more than a billion dollars.
