O Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV) signed with the company Embeiral the contract award for the construction of the new student residence (IV), and for the requalification of the three other residences.

DThere are two projects that will have an impact on increasing the supply of accommodation for students, considers the institution.

This project has a value of more than eight million euros, and is expected to last 16 months, being carried out within the scope of the National Accommodation Program for Higher Education (PNAES) with the support of funds from the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR) .

The president of IPV, José Costa, highlighted during the signing session of the document, that “this undertaking, which improves and increases the offer of accommodation for students, is a new and strong reason when applying for higher education to choose Viseu and the IPV, with the Polytechnic Campus in constant appreciation”, he said.

“The new residence, the renovation of the other three and other buildings already planned will make the Polytechnic Campus, increasingly, a space of excellence for academic life”, said the person responsible for the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu.
