A Just 48 hours before the elections for the presidency of FC Porto, Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa made use of the opinion space he subscribes to in Dragões magazine to list the reasons that “lead us to face what is coming with optimism”.
“On a sporting level, we had the opportunity to ensure that one of the greatest talents in Portuguese football, Francisco Conceição, who, in addition to being an excellent player, is an example of an athlete with a blue and white heart, will continue with us”, he began by writing the maximum leader of the blue and white set.
“Not long ago, we also renewed two extraordinary goalkeepers, Gonçalo Ribeiro and Diogo Fernandes, and a very promising full-back, Martim Fernandes”, he added, before highlighting the start of work on the new Academy.
“In a year and a half, FC Porto will have the best sports complex in Portugal dedicated to training young people. If, today, despite some difficulties, we manage to train players who reach the main team and the national team in large numbers and who have very positive performances in international junior competitions, I have no doubt that, with the Academy, we will have unique conditions to have even better teams”, he added.
