Pint of Science debuts in Faro to bring Science closer to the Community

Faro is about to receive a debut with the arrival of Pint of Science in the city. On the 13th, 14th and 15th of May, the inhabitants of Faro will have the unique opportunity to participate in the largest International Science Communication Festival.

The event aims to bring scientists closer to the public and simplify Science in a relaxed environment.

For three consecutive days, the city’s local bars will become a stage for scientists to share their projects, research and day-to-day experiences with the public. The region of
Algarve will host five sessions led by local scientists at the Musicians Association and the
Coral — University Bar. In this edition, Human Biology and Neurosciences will be highlighted.

In its 7th edition, Pint of Science, present in Portugal since 2018, expands to include Faro in its
list of host cities. The festival will take place in 12 Portuguese cities, highlighting the importance of
Faro in the national scientific communication scenario.
