Next week, the Coimbra region will be the stage for Academia Ponto Verde’s long-awaited roadshow, entitled “Reciclar é na boa”. Scheduled for the 30th of April, this training project, promoted by Sociedade Ponto Verde, will arrive at schools in Soure and Montemor-O-Velho, with the purpose of challenging students from the 2nd and 3rd cycles to delve deeper their knowledge about packaging recycling.

Academia Ponto Verde’s roadshow will offer training sessions lasting 45 minutes, aimed at 2nd and 3rd cycle students, providing them with the opportunity to see that “Recycling is cool”. During these sessions, students will be able to clarify doubts and demystify concepts about the correct separation and disposal of packaging in recycling bins, whether at home, at school or during leisure time with family and friends.

With significant growth, Academia Ponto Verde aims to reach another 200 schools by the end of 2024, making this edition of “Reciclar é na boa” the largest to date, with an unprecedented reach among schools.

“Reciclar é na boa” highlights the mission and active role of Sociedade Ponto Verde in promoting environmental literacy, especially aimed at younger people, emphasizing the importance of separating packaging in any context. Through this project, Sociedade Ponto Verde supports schools and teachers, providing teaching materials and teaching tools that aim to train and raise awareness among students to adopt the best recycling practices.

This initiative therefore aims to encourage the adoption of sustainable behaviors and everyone’s contribution to meeting packaging recycling targets.
