Lamego: Feira de Santa Cruz is back, from the 2nd to the 5th of May, this year in a new location | Daily Station

A Santa Cruz Fair, known as “May 3rd”, is returning to Lamegoin the next days, from May 2nd to 5thfor the popular Passo Travado Races, the Equestrian Gala and parades and carriage rides, among other activities, informs the Municipality, with the purpose of “promoting and valuing equestrian art”, it says.

This is an initiative organized by Lamego City Council, in partnership with other entities. This year, the Santa Cruz Fair returns to the city, in a new location: Lamego Urban Park. This leisure and recreation equipment will be inaugurated on the main day of the event – ​​May 3rd –, in a ceremony presided over by the Secretary of State for Local Authorities and Spatial Planning, Hernâni Dias.

The creation of the Urban Park represents a total investment of around 6 million and 500 thousand euros (VAT included), carried out within the scope of the Strategic Urban Development Plan (PEDU), co-financed by the FEDER.

Other activities to be carried out during the Santa Cruz Fair are carriage rides and horse baptism, the Annual Fair, the Musical Night of the Santa Cruz Fair (Palco do Parque Urbano) and the obstacle jumping competition.
