“Meajazz & Blues” in the municipality of Mealhada starts with Jacqui Naylor this Saturday

Meajazz & Blues returns to Lago de Luso, on the 28th and 29th of June, in an edition of unique quality with names such as Azar Azar, Budda Power Blues, Martin Harley and Maria João and Carlos Bica Quarteto. The festival already has its presentation show on April 28th, with North American singer Jacqui Naylor, at Cineteatro Messias.

This seventh edition of Meajazz & Blues begins on April 28th with Jacqui Naylor, at Cineteatro Messias. The performer and composer is returning to Portugal to present first-hand the brand new album “Treasures of the Heart”, which is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 26th. Portugal thus marks the beginning of this tour with two concerts, on April 27th in Fundão and on the 28th in Mealhada. “This is an opportunity to see and listen to one of the divas of the so-called Cool Jazz”, reads a statement from the Mealhada Municipality.

His albums, remember, “highlight his deeply rich and emotional voice in a carefully treated production. Many of the songs in his repertoire are sometimes chosen by his most dedicated fans. Naylor is known for her ability to masterfully interpret a diverse repertoire, bringing together music from different genres and generations.”

This festival presentation concert is the only one with a paid ticket price (10 euros), with the festival itself taking place on the 28th and 29th of June, in Lago de Luso, with free entry.
