On May 3rd Ana Gariso presents her research on “Graffiti and Street Art in public art programs: the case of Galeria de Arte Urbana in Lisbon”.

On May 6th Nicolle Vieira talks about “Body-art trajectories in the city: the Pedras Festival as a case study in Cultural Programming”.

Bio of the guests:

Ana Gariso She has a degree in Modern Languages ​​and Literature and a Master’s degree in Programming and Cultural Management. She is currently in the final year of her PhD in Communication Sciences, specializing in Communication and Art at FCSH. Her research is mainly dedicated to graffiti and the visual dimension of urban space in the cities of Lisbon and Bologna.

Nicole Vieira She has a degree in Psychology from PUC Minas, in choreographic arts from Paris 8 University, a master’s degree in Dance and Philosophy also from Paris 8 University. She is currently a PhD student in Artistic Studies: Art and Mediations at NOVA University in Lisbon. Her thesis entitled “Exit doors: practices of freedom, choice and meaning” addresses the processes of choice in dance improvisation.
