The Visit’Arganil hiking program concluded another journey through the municipality’s beautiful landscapes. At stake was a section of the GR51, which connects Vila Cova de Alva to Coja and was completed by a group of 55 adventurers, including Vice-President Paula Dinis and the President of the Union of Parishes of Coja and Barril de Alva, João Tavares.
The day was sunny, early in the morning, giving a special beauty to the flowery banks of the River Alva and the 10km route to be completed. The verdant blankets below and beyond, dotted with yellow and purple, were the perfect backdrop for the walk to take place in a light and relaxed way. This idyllic setting was complemented by the fresh and refreshing snack, offered by União de Freguesias, when passing through Barril de Alva. In addition to replenishing energy and some calories, it became a moment of great conviviality between everyone, which, in the context of the Barril de Alva Picnic Park, also served as natural therapy.
Arriving at the end of the route, we took a deep breath and confirmed that the scenic excellence of the municipality of Arganil and its natural and tourist attractions are a must-see for those passionate about nature and adventure.
