The first thematic visit of this pastoral year to the temporary exhibition: Rosarium: Joy and Light, Pain and Glory” will take place on the 1st of May, at 9:15 pm, under the guidance of the director of the Sanctuary Museum, Marco Daniel Duarte, who will speak about Fátima and the colonial war, based on the hyper-realist sculpture by Clara Menéres “Lying dead and his mother’s boy grows cold”.
According to the usual program, the thematic visit begins with a short guided tour of the exhibition, which is followed by the presentation of the theme, which starts with a piece on display there. Last year, five thematic visits were held, which brought to this meeting some authors of the works on display, such as Ana Bonifácio, Ana Lima-Netto and Joana Vasconcelos, as well as other guests who came to reflect on themes related to the Rosary, such as This was the case of Cardinal D. António Marto and Purificação Reis.
The exhibition “Rosarium: Joy and Light, Pain and Glory” has free entry and can be visited until October this year at the Convivium of Saint Augustine, lower floor of the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5:30 pm.
