The Intermunicipal Community of Baixo Alentejo (CIMBAL) and the Luso-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a collaboration protocol, the main objective of which is to encourage the internationalization of companies in the region.

In a statement, CIMBAL explains that this stimulus provided for in the agreement will be implemented “mainly through a support project approved under the Compete Program, with training actions aimed at promoting knowledge about access to the Mexican market and promotional actions ”.

“Disclosure sessions will soon be scheduled for companies in Baixo Alentejo, essentially linked to the agro-industrial, agri-food and water sectors”, adds the intermunicipal community.

The agreement was signed by the president of the CIMBAL Intermunicipal Council, António Bota, and by the president and treasurer of the Luso-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eduardo Serra Jorge and João Filipe Jesus, respectively.

According to CIMBAL, the protocol had the “high sponsorship” of the ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Portuguese Republic, Bruno Figueroa, who was represented at the ceremony by the minister-counselor, Ursula Dozal and by the person in charge of Economic Affairs, Trade Promotion and Tourism, Laura Garzón.
