Jorge Alves left a promise to make a wine in Miranda do Corvo.
The royal dean of the Real Confraria da Cabra Velha, António Simões, during his speech at the session, said that “the purpose of this and other initiatives is to promote the gastronomic heritage of Miranda do Corvo, help local businesses, namely restaurants and butchers, and contribute to bringing more people to Miranda so that they can enjoy our gastronomy and a wide range of tourist offerings.
António Simões presented, to more than 40 fraternities present, the importance of chanfana in the municipality’s gastronomy and its promotion at a national level. He publicized the story of Miranda do Corvo with a special focus on the natural heritage and the people who live there.
“Betting on nature tourism will have to be a permanent concern for the people of Mirandese”, said the royal dean of the brotherhood. “If tourism is important, having economic growth is fundamental. This growth will only exist with more investment in industrial zones and the attractiveness of companies,” he added.
