Next Sunday, the 12th, in São Brás de Alportel, the new district bodies of the PSD Algarve, led by Cristóvão Norte, will take office.

The inauguration coincides with a dinner in Rocha da Gralheira, which will also serve to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the existence of the PPD/PSD. In this regard, Cristóvão Norte points out: “The PSD respects other political forces, but we understand that in these 50 years of democracy we were the ones who gave the greatest impetus to the country’s development. In the Algarve it was no different. However, the central power was not sufficiently committed to the region’s fundamental issues, it was possible, through the hands of the PSD, to create the University of Algarve, initiate the Via do Infante and the road connection to Ayamonte, structures in local power, and with the contribution of the Socialist Party, basic sanitation, electricity, social support centers. There is still a lot to do and we have the ambition of the first day.”

In the other bodies they will take office as presidents, in the District Assembly the historic José Mendes will take office, in the Jurisdiction Council the lawyer Carlos Deus Pereira, and in the Financial Audit Commission Carlos Bicheiro.

Places for dinner will be limited and anyone wishing to be present must make a reservation by calling 911 116 000 (administrative services of PSD Algarve, called the national mobile network).
