Max Releases Long-Awaited Batman Spinoff Trailer With Colin Farrell

Max has just revealed the trailer for one of its big bets in 2024, a spin-off of “The Batman” that will put Colin Farrell at the center of everything.

HBO Max is truly one of the best streaming platforms in Portugal, and this is due to its varied and complete offer of series and films, whether original or not. With highly excellent archive content, it would be easy for the platform to stop here, but the truth is that its selection never stops growing, with the best films and series being added weekly.

This week, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the platform formerly known as HBO Max will be replaced by Max, an improved streaming service, which will launch in Europe on May 21st. Portugal is one of the first countries to receive this new feature, along with Spain, Nordic Countries and Central and Eastern Europe. Later, Max will arrive in France, Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

With this exciting news ahead, the platform has already announced some of the upcoming premieres, including the second season of “House of the Dragon” which arrives in Europe on June 17th. In addition, the platform will also bring a new streaming experience, with more than double the amount of content currently available on HBO Max and this will also be the only place to stream every moment of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Another of Max’s bets has now been revealed and is the first spin-off of “The Batman”, the successful film directed by Matt Reeves that marked the return of Gotham’s bat to a more realistic and dirty universe.

At the center of this new chapter in the saga imagined by Matt Reeves will be Oz Cobb, known as “Penguin”, who in 2022 was brought to life by Colin Farrell. The eight-episode drama series will show how Penguin will deal with the consequences of Riddler’s (Paul Dano) actions in the world of Gotham’s mafia.

Alongside Farrell, Cristin Milioti also stands out as Sofia Falcone, Carmine’s daughter; Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Carmine’s son; Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, a well-known Gotham gangster. The cast also includes Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Deirdre O’Connell and Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo. The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and is also showrunner, Craig Zobel (“Mare of Easttown”), who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.

“The Penguin” continues the epic crime saga that Matt Reeves started with “The Batman” and is confirmed for release on Max for Fall 2024.
