Ghostbusters debuts at the top of the US box office, with Dune in 2nd place

Ghostbusters: Ice Apocalypse made a good debut in US theaters, taking the lead over the weekend with a gross of US$45.2 million.

The number is well in line with the franchise average, since the previous feature, Ghostbusters: Beyond (2021), debuted with US$44 million in the USA and ended its run in global cinemas with US$204 million at the box office.

The rest of the weekend’s podium went to the champions of recent weeks, Dune: Part 2 (2nd place, with US$ 17.6 million) and Kung Fu Panda 4 (in 3rd, with US$ 16.8 million).
