Spider-Man: The New Spider-Verse arrives this week, but not in theaters – Cinema News

With touches of horror, the production presents an unprecedented adventure by Miles Morales.

Responsible for changing the film industry, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a very successful experience for Sony Pictures Animation. With two chapters already available on streaming services, the franchise starring Miles Morales and several other Cabeças de Teia has a new film confirmed, but with no release date scheduled.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was supposed to hit the big screen in March this year, but due to the writers’ strike and some production problems – which may or may not have been impacted by the high volume of work with a disproportionate amount of professionals -, the new project was postponed indefinitely.

Despite the sad news for fans, it is certain that the new animation will hit theaters between the second half of this year and mid-2025. Meanwhile, there is a small (literally) journey that should touch the hearts of the audience and bring joy to those who are eagerly waiting for the outcome of Miles’ story.

Next Wednesday (27), Sony will release the short film The Spider Whithin: A Spider-Verse Story. With free release on the studio’s YouTube, the record should present a narrative about mental health, with the protagonist dealing with the difficulties of having a personal life and still being a superhero.
