A Searchlight Pictures released the first trailer for ‘Kinds Of Kindness’ (Types of Kindness – free translation), the most recent film by the acclaimed filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos (‘The Favorite’)in her new collaboration with Oscar winner Emma Stone (‘Poor Creatures’).
With premiere scheduled for June 21th in cinemas USAthe long is “a fable that revolves around three characters; a man with no choice who tries to take control of his own life; a police officer who is alarmed because his wife has disappeared at sea and when she returns, she seems like a different person; and a woman determined to find someone specific, with a specific skill, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”

This is the fifth collaboration between Lanthimos It is Emma Stone. The cast also features big names such as Willem Dafoe (‘The Lighthouse’), Margaret Qualley (‘Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood’), Joe Alwyn (‘Harriet: The Road to Freedom’), Jesse Plemons (‘Killers of the Flower Moon’), Hong Chau (‘The Whale’), Hunter Schafer (‘The Hunger Games – A Song of Birds and Snakes’) It is Mamoudou Athie (‘The Burial Itself’).
The plot was written by Lanthimos in partnership with Efthimis Filippou (‘The Sacrifice of the Sacred Deer’).
The filming of ‘Kinds of Kindness’ took place in New Orleans in late 2022.
