Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures is the next big release in cinemas, tomorrow, March 28th, which could mean a new name at the top of the list of most watched films across the globe.
According to forecasts, Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire is positioned to gross more than $135 million in its first few days on display. Most of this value, more than $80 million, will be obtained outside the United States, forecasts advance.
Estimates also indicate that the film directed by Adam Wingard cost between $155 million and $200 million, so a debut close to $135 million could be seen as a good result by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be available in some countries today, which means that within a few hours we will have the first box office numbers.
When Godzilla vs. Kong hit theaters in 2021, its result was affected by several constraints, such as simultaneous availability with HBO Max in some territories and restrictions related to COVID-19 in movie theaters. Still, it grossed over $48 million in the United States and eventually surpassed $470 million at the box office.
