Austin Butler to star in new Darren Aronofsky film

The star of Elvis and Dune: Part 2 has been cast in the new project by the director of Black Swan and The Whale

Austin Butler continues to gain new opportunities in Hollywood. Now, the star of Elvis (2022) and Dune: Part 2 (2024) has been cast to star in director Darren Aronofsky’s new film, a thriller inspired by the writer’s novel of the same name Charlie Huston.

Entitled Caught Stealingthe film will be produced by Sony and will follow the story of Hank Thompsonan overworked former baseball player who unwittingly ends up entering a savage fight for survival in the world of crime in the city of New York In the 90’s.

The film will be directed and produced by Aronofsky, who said he is “cheered up” to adapt the literary work and “start working with Austin [Butler]” (via The Hollywood Reporter). The script will be written by Charlie Huston.

After the success of Elvis and Dune: Part 2, Austin Butler will star in Darren Aronofsky’s new film.

Since starring Elvislong Baz Luhrmann which deals with the career of Elvis Presley, Butler has been gaining more and more prominence in the industry. In addition to continuing to be successful with its performance in the recent Dune: Part 2the actor starred in the miniseries Masters of the Aira production of Apple TV+and also appeared in Vandals Clubwhich premieres in Brazil on June 21st.
