Continues after advertising

In more than 60 years of publication, the X-Men have welcomed the most diverse forms of life and the strangest heroes that Marvel Comics has ever housed in its pages. And now, more than four decades after his debut, the Marvel Universe finally reveals the true look of an iconic member of the Children of the Atom.

In Legion of X #7 2022, recently released, Doug Ramsey, also known as Cifra, and his inseparable friend Warlock, linked to his soul, enter the Astral Plane. It is worth remembering that this place is in a dimension protected by the powerful Legion, son of Professor X. David Haller explains that it is in his domains, free from the sphere of technology, that we see what is behind “the foam and mercury” of Warlock.

The techno-organic alien Warlock first appeared in New Mutants #18, published in 1983. He is a member of the extraterrestrial artificial intelligence known as Technarchy. A mutant among his species’ peers, the hero lacks a truly constant physical appearance due to his race’s innate shape-shifting abilities.

So he often adopts a vaguely humanoid form to fight alongside his friends in the X-Men. And now, finally, we have Warlock’s true human look, which makes perfect sense as some sort of surfer dude with dreadlocks.
