April 1st is known for being April Fools’ Day. In Hollywood, the theme is very recurrent and can generate incredible twists. Pretexts are responsible for suspenseful plots, such as Catch Me If You Can (2002) It is The Departed (2006). In fact, Leonardo DiCaprio is the protagonist of both films. However, lying can also be the path to great comedy. Directed by and starring Ricky Gervais, The First Liar (2009) does exactly that. A classic of the genre, School of Rock (2003) uses a pretext to boost the story and place Jack Black’s character as a teacher.
