It is on April 4th that Portuguese cinemas will receive another wave of unmissable premieres, including a new and controversial film with Jenna Ortega.

As is already customary, the big cinema premieres in Portugal take place on Thursdays and the time has come to find out what we will be able to see from April 4th in Portuguese cinemas.

After “Wednesday”, young Jenna Ortega became one of the most sought-after names of her generation, but her next film sees her take on a very different side to what we have seen from the actress so far. It is a thriller in which Martin Freeman (52 years old) and Jenna Ortega (21 years old) play the role of teacher and student who end up embarking on a relationship beyond the professional.

In addition to this premiere that promises to make Jenna Ortega talk, viewers will be able to see other highlights such as a Portuguese comedy, the prequel to a classic horror film from the 70s, works premiered at international festivals, Dev Patel’s debut as a director on one thriller frantic action, among many others.

MY MISLEADING FAIRY, BY CAROLINE ORIGER

Synopsis: Violetta, a fairy in training with a special talent for flowers, ends up trapped in the human world after failing an important exam. There, she meets Maxie, a lonely girl who helps her return home. However, a twist comes when Violetta reveals the truth about her abilities.
