These days, few of the most iconic and successful sagas of the 80s and 90s have escaped being the subject of a new sequel, reboot or remake, but the trilogy Back to the future remains intact. At least for a while.
Beginning in 1985 with the release of the first film under the direction of Robert Zemeckis, who would later be in charge of the entire trilogy, the saga Back to the future continued with two successful sequels, Back to the Future 2 and Back to the Future 3, in 1989 and 1990 respectively, and ended the story of Marty McFly, Doc Brown and their time travel adventures in a rather indirect.
Hilarious and thoroughly entertaining, with three turbulent journeys that took the protagonists from 1985 to 1955, 2015 and 1885 aboard a DeLorean converted into a time machine, the trilogy was a huge success from start to finish, grossing almost a billion dollars in revenue. Worldwide.
