The plot of ‘Eternals‘ explains that the heroes did not help the Avengers in their previous battles because they could not interfere in the course of human actions.

Not even when half of humanity was about to disappear due to Thanos’ plans (Josh Brolin) in evaporating 50% of the life of the entire universe.

Officially, this was the only reference to the villain in the director’s entire film. Chloe Zhao.

However, a deleted scene shows that Sprite (Leah McHugh) and Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) would once again recall the events of the Avengers films.

In the scene, they talk outside the ruins of Babylon, and Sprite asks:

“Do you still think humans still deserve to be saved? After all the terrible things we saw them do?”

To which Makkari responds:

They defeated Thanos and saved half the universe. With little more than hope, perseverance, and their ability to sacrifice themselves for those they love.”

Titled ‘Nostalgia’the scene went viral on the internet.

Review | Eternals is Marvel’s most artistic, complex and out-of-the-box film… for better or for worse!

Eternals‘ follows the journey of nearly immortal beings, products of the evolutionary divergence that gave rise to the human race millennia ago. The characters relate to several concepts already introduced in the previous films in the universe, from the Celestials (who appeared in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘) to Thanos, whose own mother was one of his victims.

The cast also includes Salma Hayek (Ajak), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos), Leah McHugh (Sprite), Gemma Chan (Sersi), Kit Harington (Black Knight), Barry Kheogan (Druig) and Richard Madden (Ikaris).
