Hero appears in the original 90s animation

X-Men ’97 went beyond the core of Marvel’s mutants and brought a special appearance from captain America, just as had already happened in the original series. Now, fans are waiting for appearances from other heroes who participated in crossovers between Marvel animations from the 90s – one of them being Spider man.

Previously, Brad Winderbaum, leader of Marvel’s animation division, had commented on cameos in general. On that occasion (via ComicBook) he explained that X-Men ’97 is set “in the 90s timeline, along with the original series and other series that sometimes had crossovers with the X-Men”. He also added that “The potential always exists. Without going into spoilers, the original series has a lot of fun appearances, and ’97 continues that.”.

The speech further fueled the expectations of fans, who now questioned the creator of the animation, Beau DeMayo, regarding the presence of Spider-Man specifically. In response, he said only that the public will have to “wait and see”. Despite not confirming the participation of Amigão da Vizinhança, DeMayo’s speech gave hope to fans, who are waiting for the rumors to become reality.

X-Men ’97 is available on Disney+.
