In 1997, Disney released the film “Cinderella”, also known by fans as “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella”. The telefilm, directed by Robert Iscove and inspired by the Broadway musical of the same name, it was also based on the classic 1697 short story by the French author Charles Perrault.

Despite being an extremely critically acclaimed work, containing seven Emmy nominations and a victory in the “Art Direction for Variety or Music Program” category, today, many people do not remember this renowned production.
However, the work has everything to return to the public’s imagination with the premiere of the film “Descendants: The Rise of Cups”, which will feature the special participation of two great actors from “Cinderella” reliving their roles 27 years later: Brandy Norwood It is Paolo Montalbán.
As reported by Variety, now, the couple are no longer prince and princess: the two have finally assumed the throne, and will be represented as king and queen.
“Descendants: The Rise of Cups” promises to follow the life of Red (Kylie Cantrall), princess of the hostile kingdom of Wonderland, and daughter of the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora). After his mother carries out a coup in Auradon, Red is forced to join forces with Chloe (Mia Baker), the naive daughter of Cinderella and Charming, to go back in time and prevent the kingdom from being destroyed.
Scheduled to premiere on July 12th on the Disney+ streaming platform, the film also features Dara Renee, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, Joshua Colley It is Jeremy Swiftin addition to the return of China Anne McClain as Uma, the daughter of Ursula, and Melanie Paxson in the role of the Fairy Godmother.
