The month of April is almost over, but Prime Video has proven that there is still time to release very interesting titles. One of them is Custom Heroan action film released in 2023 and starring John Cena, the former WWE fighter who is pursuing a very prolific career in cinema.

In the plot, he is a bodyguard hired to protect a journalist who is doing a story about the dictator president Venegas (Juan Pablo Raba). But, in the middle of their work, the two are surprised by a military coup and flee into the middle of the jungle to avoid being arrested. Lost in the bush, they need to work together to get out of the place. Directed by Pierre Morel (Relentless Quest), the film arrived on streaming on the 24th and is already in first place among the most watched on the platform.

Another production that has also been successful with subscribers is the spin-off The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, plot focused on the story of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira). The production shows the boy trying to return home and reuniting with his loved one. With six episodes, the series has managed to captivate fans who were orphaned by the original plot.

Now, if you like period films, you can give this one a try. The last Samurai. The film, nominated for four Oscars, stars Tom Cruise and tells the story of an American captain who is sent to Japan to train the troops of Emperor Meiji (Shichinosuke Nakamura) after he reopens the country’s borders. But, upon learning about Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe) and the samurai code of honor, he is left unsure which side to defend.

In addition to the Oscar, the film was nominated for three Golden Globe categories and is an excellent choice for anyone who is feeling orphaned at the end of Shogun: The Glorious Saga of Japan.
