The heat wave that has hit Minas and other states since last week will give way to rain and storms in several capitals in the coming days. The forecast is from Clima Tempo, which relates the change to the arrival of autumn, which starts next Wednesday (20) and ends on June 20.
“We will have changes in weather conditions on the first day of the new season, due to the advance of a new cold front”, highlights a note released by Clima Tempo, which mentions Rio Grande do Sul. Santa Catarina, Paraná and São Paulo, will still have a first warm and muggy day of autumn, with moderate to heavy showers from the afternoon onwards.
Clima Tempo points out that the risk of storms increases from Thursday (21). “As the system advances towards the Southeast, the showers become more intense in Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, the south coast of Rio De Janeiro and on the border of the two states with Minas Gerais. On this day, the risk of storms increases – including in capitals. Pay attention to sea disturbances on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina”, he informs.
The passage of this cold front ends the period of atmospheric blockage and marks the end of the heat wave in the country. “We will have the entry of some cold air that will alleviate the intense heat in many Brazilian states; the week will end with lower temperatures in the South and Southeast and a decrease in high temperatures in the Center-West of the country”, he points out.
Clima Tempo also informs that Friday (22) will be closed in the Vale do Itajaí region, on the coast and east of PR, in the south of SP, including the coast and in RMSP, in addition to severe and rainy weather in center-south of Rio de Janeiro, which could cause disturbances in the lowlands of Rio de Janeiro. Cities in the south of Minas, the Zona da Mata region and part of the south of Espírito Santo are on alert for the risk of storms. The sea is rough in the South, in SP and RJ on this day.
“The atmosphere will have more humidity, which again favors the growth of heavy clouds over the east and south of Mato Grosso do Sul and the Triângulo Mineiro”, he concludes.
