BandNews FM 99.3 from Porto Alegre opens its new studios this Monday (18). The headquarters of the journalistic broadcaster controlled by Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação was at Rua Delfino Riet, 183, in the Santo Antonio neighborhood, in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. From now on, the programming will be generated from the PUC Porto Alegre campus, in Paternon.
The inauguration will be marked by an event for more than 400 guests, including company executives, professionals from the advertising market, as well as the president of Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação, João Saad, the mayor of Porto Alegre, Sebastião Melo, and the governor of state, Eduardo Leite. The presentation will be in charge of Joel Datena and Renata Fan.
At the location, BandNews FM installed modern equipment to generate local journalistic content. BandNews FM has been in its previous headquarters since 2005, when it debuted its programming together with the network’s other pioneering stations.
The initiative is part of Tecnopuc Business, a large ecosystem that encompasses technology, transformation and a multitude of opportunities. “We are located in a world that is the PUCRS Scientific and Technological Park, better known as Tecnopuc, with more than 15 thousand people passing through it daily. The idea is that we have a lot of exchange with students, teachers, the hospital, the museum and the sports area of the University”, highlights Lisiane Russo, general director of the Gaucho channel.
It is worth mentioning that the radio’s debut took place on May 20, 2005. Grupo Bandeirantes’ own station stopped broadcasting the network’s programming led by Band FM 96.1 in São Paulo and became part of the BandNews FM Network, together with the radio stations São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
In February 2021, the BandNews FM started broadcasting with new equipment. In addition to the transmitters, the news station also had its tower modified. BandNews FM has a 70 meter tower and gained RDS (Radio Data System) transmission.
The reproduction of news and agendas is authorized as long as it contains the signature ‘tudoradio.com’
