As an event organizer and charismatic leader, he organized Stay Heavy Metal Stars, one of his greatest prides in heavy music (…).

With a 25-year career, he has worked in areas such as Mobile Marketing, Digital Marketing and Business Development in medium and large companies. Furthermore, he was the creator of the band About2Crash, with which he was able to fulfill his dream of playing at Rock in Rio.

Vinicius was also a regular contributor to Roadie Crew magazine, providing reviews and coverage of shows in Brazil and abroad, as well as having the Stay Heavy Report column.

In this time of grief, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May they find comfort in the happy memories shared with Vinicius Neves and in gratitude for the lives he touched so deeply. In his last show with About2Crash, held on the stage of La Iglesia, his party theme was the celebration of life. Vinicius will also be remembered for his fight and resilience”, says the note published by Roadie Crew.

Rock and Metal personalities paid tribute to Vinicius

Big names in Brazilian Metal paid tribute to Vinicius. Check out some of the tributes below.

Rafael Bittencourt – Angra guitarist

“Yesterday our dear friend Vinicius Neves left us. I feel emptiness and sadness in the space he filled in my life. Some people inspire us and help shape how we want to be. Vini was, and will continue to be, one of those examples for me, for his character, charisma, loyalty to friends, intelligence, humanity and many other qualities.

I met him when he started the Stay Heavy program, which was a milestone for the Metal scene, giving space to bands of all styles, with passion and respect, strengthening our scene. Since then, a friendship and mutual admiration were born that we cultivated with affection for many years.

He never took part in the traditional childish tantrums that we cultivate in metalheads, on the contrary, he focused on this soil with his mature and fertilizing gaze, appeasing and improving relationships with his ideal of always pulsating positivity.

After a battle he fought bravely against a very aggressive cancer, he leaves us and his wife, Cintia Diniz, always a partner and companion, and his two children.

May you rest in peace, my friend, thank you very much for the advice, teachings and all the help you have always given me.

May the angels sound their trumpets and God receive you with light, because a very enlightened soul who has made beauty here on earth ascends to the highest heavens. His legacy will continue to inspire us here.

Luis Mariutti – bassist of Sinistra (ex-Angra and ex-Shaman)

“Vini, your contribution to Metal Nacional is marked in history. Thank you for all the moments, songs and partnership! Your struggle was great, rest in peace my friend.”

Claustrofobia – Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band

“With great sadness we received the news of Vinicius Neves’ early departure.

A great aggregator of the Metal scene, collaborator and part of the Roadie Crew family, he was a fundamental player with his program Stay Heavy, where he presented with his wife, the beloved Cintia Diniz.

Claustro was one of the first bands to perform at Stay Heavy, and after that we had countless great moments together, for example a few times at Wacken Open Air and at the memorable Stay Heavy parties, where Vinicius got everyone to play together.

He will be greatly missed. Rest in paradise brother. Much strength to all friends and family.”

Aquiles Priester – drummer of Edu Falaschi’s band (ex-Angra)

“Vinicius Neves, you will always be remembered for everything you did for the Metal scene that exists in Brazil. A true aggregator in the broadest sense of that word.

Rest in peace partner! My deepest condolences to the entire family.”

Amilcar Christófaro – drummer of Torture Squad

“Man, it’s with a heavy heart that I received this news of Vinicius’ departure… Very new…

An aggregating guy.. Always bringing people together, whether to go on his program, the great Stay Heavy, which he and his wife Cintia Diniz gave the possibility to several bands on the Brazilian and international scene to promote themselves, or to play football, for a barbecue, anyway… A good guy who unfortunately left too soon…

All I can do is wish you peace, Vinicião, wherever you are… Strength and light to your family and friends. Feel hugged.”
