“Those who are making the largest number of reservations are people from São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Gauchos. The people in Brasília have a large volume too. Latin Americans and Europeans have also made reservations”, highlighted José Domingos Bouzon, vice-president of Hotéis Rio.
According to Embratur, the arrival of international tourists to Rio de Janeiro is expected to increase 27% the week of the presentation. For the period, there is a record of 7.5 thousand airline tickets from other countries arriving in Brazil through the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
The majority of tourists from other countries are from Argentina, Chile, the United States and France.
“People turn to Rio de Janeiro with an event as grand as Madonna,” added Bouzon.
