The images that were made public from Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party suggest that the atmosphere was just fun and that the Spice Girls’ reunion was marked by good spirits. However, it seems that this was not the case after all.
An anonymous source who was present at the event held on Saturday the 20th, at the prestigious club Oswald’s, in the luxurious London neighborhood of Mayfair, guarantees that there was great tension between two of the members of the former ‘girlband’. And now who are they? None other than Geri Halliwell and Mel B.
The anonymous source told the British newspaper The Sun that Geri avoided Mel B at all costs and that this can be confirmed in the group photo they took, as the two are as far away from each other as possible: “When the moment came Before taking the group photo, Geri stayed as far away from Mel as possible, it was uncomfortable.”
The reason for this discomfort seems to be related to Mel B’s participation in Olivia Attwood’s podcast ‘So Wrong it’s Right’. In the conversation, the singer spoke critically of her former Spice Girls colleague and said she didn’t believe Geri was 51 years old. The artist stated that she believes that Geri has always lied about her supposed true age and pointed the finger at her for allegedly not being truthful about this topic.
If Mel B thought Geri wouldn’t listen or care about these words, she was very mistaken. Geri avoided her former colleague as much as possible and was not even deterred by the attempts that were made. “She [Mel B] He tried to smooth things over, but it didn’t go as planned. She laughed at everything, but Geri didn’t seem interested in hearing what she said and walked away”, continues the source.
