Contrary to news about the risks that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can pose when used by fraudsters, Microsoft today announced a generative AI solution aimed at digital security: Copilot for Security.

After undergoing testing during an early access period, the new tool received positive feedback and is now scheduled for release on April 1st.

Copilot for Security promises to speed up and guide

According to Microsoft, Copilot for Security was trained from large-scale data and threat intelligence. This includes more than 78 billion security signals processed by the company every day.

By combining this with the functionalities of large language models, the new AI is capable of capturing risks more quickly, sending complete digital defense diagnoses and guiding professionals in the field on the next steps that should be taken.

According to Microsoft, during the testing phase, participating experienced security analysts reported that they performed 22% faster using Copilot. Task accuracy increased by 7% and 97% of participants said they wanted to use AI again.

When launched globally on April 1st, Copilot for Security will have features such as personalized prompts, integration with each company’s business logic, support for up to 25 languages (Portuguese included), connection with Defender EASM, audit logs and Microsoft Login diagnostics and usage reports.

The new tool for digital security and IT teams will have an independent platform, but will also be incorporated into the Defender Portal (security.microsoft.com). You can opt for “pay-as-you-go” payment, or even use AI as part of your Azure for business subscription.
