Fernando Luís, 63 years old, was the protagonist of the TVI series ‘Inspector Max’, broadcast for the first time between 2004 and 2006. The plot was such a success – it had new seasons in 2016 and 2017 – that it still continues today TVI broadcast.

Even so, the actors who were part of the production’s cast have gained little from the continued replacement of the series. Related rights, which are attributed to artists when the interpretation of a work is recorded in a recording, whether audio or video, yield practically nothing. The confirmation was given by the actor himself in an interview published this week in the magazine ‘Boa Onda’, from Correio da Manhã.

“We received very little in terms of related rights. The topic was discussed and we even went to court, but every time I bring up the subject the conversation is diverted”, said the actor. Fernando Luís even confessed that he receives more in related rights for the dubbing he does. “I end up not understanding what’s going on because the series continues to run. But I receive more related rights for the dubs than for ‘Inspector Max'”.

Remember that Fernando Luís gave life to the charismatic inspector Jorge Mendes and continues to be associated with this role: “On the street, I’m still known as ‘Inspector Max’. I’m always telling people: ‘Look, I’m not Inspector Max. Max is the dog…'”.
