Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds perform at Meo Arena in October

There is a new tour by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and it passes through Portugal. On October 27th, the Meo Arena, in Lisbon, welcomes the Australian bard on his “Wild God Tour”, which will take him to 17 countries, starting on September 24th in Oberhausen, Germany, and ending in Paris, France, on the 17th. from November. The tour follows the release of the 18th studio album, “Wild God”, on August 30th.

The show is organized by Last Tour, responsible for the Lisbon festival Meo Kalorama and the Taylor Swift concerts at Estádio da Luz. Tickets will go on sale on March 22, at 9am (mainland Portugal time) on Nick Cave’s website and Last Tour. The promoter makes it known that there will be the possibility of a ticket ‘reservation’ (“waiting list”), by registering on the Last Tour website: the period in which the reservation can be converted into ticket purchase is 24 hours, between at 10am on the 21st and 10am on the 22nd, and the operation is carried out from an email received from 10am on the 21st. The “pre-sale” is, on Nick Cave’s website, extendable to all concerts announced.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ most recent concerts in Portugal date from 2022, at the Primavera Sound festivals, in Porto, and at Meo Kalorama, in Lisbon. The last concerts outside the ‘festival’ context date from 2008, at the Coliseums in Lisbon and Porto. Remember that Nick Cave even scheduled a concert in Lisbon, precisely at the Meo Arena, on April 19, 2020, which was first postponed and then cancelled, due to the covid-19 pandemic. The first part of the October concert will be performed by the Irish band Murder Capital. Dry Cleaning and Black Country, New Road are other bands scheduled for the remaining dates of the tour.

Nick Cave announced last week the release of his new album with the Bad Seeds. “Wild God”, the successor to 2019’s “Ghosteen”, will hit stores on August 30th. The Australian musician’s 18th album with the Bad Seeds was introduced by the title track.
