It required a maid and someone to take care of the children. I had a house, expenses paid and an allowance of 600 euros.

Abdul Bashir, the Afghan accused of killing two Portuguese women in the Ismaili Center of Lisbon, on March 28 last year, had his house rent paid, water, electricity, Internet and even a telephone. He did not pay for the meals that were delivered to him and he also received an allowance of 600 euros. The doctor’s bills and all education expenses for the three minor children were also paid by an Aga Khan network project that operates at the Ismaili Center in Lisbon.

The apartment where the family lived was a T3 in Odivelas and was equipped with appliances, household linen and kitchen utensils. The minors were enrolled in school, initially in the private education system, due to a lack of places in the public system, and the defendant also attended community integration activities.

Still, nothing was enough. In the letters now seized and which were addressed to one of the victims, it is said that Abdul Bashir always wanted more. He made demands, especially of Mariana, with whom he got into harsh arguments. He made demands on her to obtain a better residence, about the need to have someone to take care of the children and someone to clean the house and cook. Other messages show that Abdul Bashir asked questions about his children’s school or health, made complaints about his work situation, which ranged from complaints about not accepting job offers, about not being good enough for his professional qualifications or about not having time to work, as he had to take care of his children.Demands after demands that even made the discontented man try his luck outside our country. He left Portugal for Germany, where he asked for political asylum, but returned when he was refused.

I wanted to see family
The defendant wanted everything his way. He also made demands regarding the family reunification process, demanding that the victims, Farana Sadrudin and Mariana Jadaugy, deal with the matter with the utmost urgency, in order to quickly bring their family to Portugal. Many messages
He sent emails to Princess Zahra Aga Khan, who ended up blocking him. He assumed there was a one-sided love relationship and didn’t stop with messages.
CHILDREN’S REQUESTS WERE WITHOUT SUPPORT
He asked the princess several times to stay with the children because the children were not receiving support. He made constant appeals for me to intercede for him with the team at the Ismaili Center in Lisbon.
