Daniela Ventura shared his intense Curve of lifemarked by abandonment, betrayals and revolts. The competitor couldn’t hold back her tears several times.

Born in Luanda, Daniela Ventura lived in the African country until she was 16 with her mother, grandparents and her mother’s boyfriend, who had a son. The Big Brother 2024 contestant said that she never knew her biological father, and stressed that her grandfather was the one who played this role. However, what Daniela keeps from her childhood is resentment towards her grandmother, who didn’t tell her that her mother had died.

When Daniela was 9 years old, her mother became ill and ended up dying. Daniela’s maternal grandmother didn’t tell her at the time, and the young woman missed her own mother’s funeral. She also assured that what she keeps from her childhood is the resentment she has towards her grandmother, for not telling her that her mother had left: «What cost me the most was that they hid it from me, I didn’t even go to the funeral. I think that to this day I have a lot of resentment towards my grandmother, because I never had that opportunity and they stole that from me».

The competitor also said that she suffered from bullying at school because she was an orphan, and still remembers those difficult days with a lot of sadness.

Daniela Ventura also revealed that she had to leave Angola behind: «We all came to Portugal, because Angola was very dangerous. From then on I closed myself off completely. I started drinking. There was so much anger, the resentment of being denied and I always kept quiet. I turned 19, and a friend of mine told me: ‘I have a friend who is Brazilian and wants to get married. He will give you a good amount of money. You know your grandparents are going through a lot of difficulties…’ It was only when she said that that, of course, I accepted and went to London.

After two months I only had two options: either go back to Portugal, I couldn’t because I had €80 in my account, or go to another boy’s room. I went to this other boy who said: ‘you can stay in my room, you pay half the rent’. I went. And, a more intimate conversation arrived and I mentioned that I was a virgin and he said to me ‘either you do it or you leave’. It got to the point where I no longer knew whether my body hurt more or my soul hurt more. I felt so dirty. I couldn’t take it anymore and I went to talk to this friend, she didn’t believe it and said: ‘But if you want to leave, I’ll lend you money and you’ll leave».
